School Reopens Monday 6th September

On Wednesday 14th July almost 500 people gathered in the school hall to celebrate the 'attainment', 'effort' and 'contribution to school life' of a large number of our students, for the academic year 2009 - 2010. It was a very special evening, and I was proud to see so many our young people rewarded for their hard-work. Congratulations, in particular to Patricia Mannion, who received the inaugural 'Citizen of the Year' award, and to Sean Pritchard, who received the first ever Fr Twomey award.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our Guests of Honour, Miss Francesca Losardo, Mr Martin Parkes, Mr Nicholas Saxton and Miss Amy Whitehead. Presenting the awards to our pupils, they were fantastic role models, and real examples of what are young people can be, in years to come. All four of our guests are past pupils of the school, and they spoke fondly of their memories of All Saints', and what they were most proud about. As Mr Parkes, our new PE teacher from September, said; “The friendly atmosphere and personalised style of teaching I received at All Saints' gave me the confidence and enthusiasm to further my education at College and Universiity, and I look forward to commencing my teaching career in such an environment”
